Project Overview

Background: In 2014, Tehran’s culinary landscape witnessed a groundbreaking addition with the inauguration of the city’s first bakery café. At a time when cafés were flourishing, a unique concept emerged, setting this establishment apart from the rest. This pioneering café not only brought the warmth of freshly baked goods but introduced a novel twist by featuring Nutella dishes as part of its salad offerings—an avant-garde idea aligned with the principles of disposability and sustainability.

Challenge: The challenge was to carve a niche in a market saturated with cafés by introducing a concept previously untapped in the city – a café with a bakery at its core. Drawing inspiration from the café’s distinctive use of Nutella dishes, our task was to create a visual identity mirrored the unique atmosphere and concept.

Solution: The logo design became a visual ode to the café’s innovative use of Nutella dishes. A harmonious combination of Nutella dishes, a fork, and a jar was ingeniously crafted to encapsulate the essence of the bakery café. The color palette for the visual identity was directly inspired by the café’s interior design, creating a seamless connection between the brand and its physical space.

Implementation: The design journey expanded beyond the logo to encompass a comprehensive visual identity. Menus, business cards, delivery dishes, various labels, and customer reservation boards were meticulously designed, ensuring every touchpoint echoed the spirit of the café. The visual language spoke directly to the patrons, conveying a sense of warmth and innovation.

Results: The first bakery café in Tehran not only filled a void in the market but also established itself as a trendsetter. The visual identity, anchored by the distinctive logo and inspired color palette, reflected the café’s character and concept. The seamless integration of Nutella dishes into the brand narrative added a layer of uniqueness, resonating with the discerning tastes of the city’s café enthusiasts.

Conclusion: The case of Tehran’s first bakery café stands as a testament to the power of innovation and strategic design in the culinary realm. Join us in this culinary journey, where the aroma of freshly baked goods meets the creativity woven into every element of our visual identity.
